Bio: The Mom

The Facts: Jacqueline Kovacs is the Deputy Editor of Today’s Parent magazine. She is also the mother of three children: Riley, Molly and Hayley. Jackie and her husband, Patrick Walsh, lived and worked in Tanzania almost 20 years ago. Jackie was excited to travel to Uganda with her daughter Hayley, 15, mostly to show her eldest child what life is like for many children.

What does beauty mean to you? “Beauty to me is that extra edge that gives you confidence.”

What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done for beauty? “Craziest thing I’ve ever done? Oh, I don’t know! Is an 80s spiral perm crazy? It looked good for a while. Some bad dye jobs in the name of staying blonde. I did tanning in the 80s for a while to clear up my skin. And let’s not even talk about bikini waxes.”
